The filter of the bottom pump in the distillation tower of a certain diesel hydrogenation unit gets clogged frequently. Upon cleaning, flaky solids were found inside; after burning, about 60% of the weight remained. When tested with a magnet, only a small portion was attracted to it. Does anyone else have similar experience?
