On September 21, the groundbreaking ceremony for the HuanDian Tiaobingshan wind power-to-hydrogen coupled 100,000-ton green methanol demonstration project was held in the Tiaobingshan North Industrial Park. This project is a landmark initiative of HuanDian Liaoning Company in deepening cooperation between the central government and local authorities, focusing on the development of hydrogen-based energy sources, and making efforts in Liaoning to drive new breakthroughs in its comprehensive revitalization. In August of this year, it was successfully selected as part of the **first batch of pilot projects for research and industrialization of green liquid fuel technologies. The total investment in the project is 3.945 billion yuan. It will involve the construction of a 450-megawatt wind farm along with related power transmission and transformation facilities, a 295-megawatt hydrogen production and storage facility, an 80-megawatt/80-MWh energy storage power station, and a methanol synthesis plant with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons ； The annual production capacity is 19,000 tons of green hydrogen and 100,000 tons of green methanol. Adhering to the development strategy of \"using projects to drive industry growth,\" the company actively encourages equipment manufacturing firms that produce hydrogen production systems, PEM electrolyzers, alkaline electrolyzers, frame separators, and hydrogen purification devices to set up their production lines in Tieling City, thereby providing Huadian’s solutions for the energy sector’s transformation and upgrading in this region.
