Recently, the bubbling bed hydrogenation technology was adopted in the 600,000 tons per year coal tar hydrogenation unit of the first phase of Xinjiang Xinhuixia Clean Energy Co., Ltd. This is currently the largest single-unit processing project of its kind in China, with a maximum continuous operation period of 386 days, setting a new record for the operational duration of such units in the industry. On October 28, Xinjiang Xinhuixia Clean Energy Co., Ltd. successfully passed the evaluation for **high-tech enterprise status and had its recognition made public, which signifies that the company’s technical innovation capabilities and core competitiveness in the field of clean energy have been officially acknowledged. It has thus become one of the key enterprises within the Hami modern coal chemical industry cluster. Project Overview: The 1.2 million tons per year coal tar hydrogenation project of Xinjiang Xinhuixia Clean Energy Co., Ltd. uses the products manufactured by the clean refining company as raw materials. The hydrogen production unit uses raw waste gas as input, and through processes such as purification and pre-treatment, pressure increase using screw compressors, CO conversion, and two-stage PSA separation, it produces high-purity hydrogen for use in hydrogenation units; meanwhile, this unit can also produce sulfur products as a by-product. 2. The hydrogenation unit removes impurities such as metals, sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen from the raw materials through hydrogenation refining, and carries out saturation reactions to produce qualified products. At the same time, the hydrogenation unit can produce liquefied gas, a small amount of 3# light coal tar, and asphalt products as by-products. It is also currently the coal tar hydrotreating unit with the lowest investment per unit of product, the smallest energy consumption per unit, and the highest product yield in China. Since the beginning of this year, Hami City has leveraged its resource endowments and geographical advantages to accelerate the development of emerging industries such as modern coal chemical engineering, new energy, advanced manufacturing, and digital computing power, thereby injecting strong new momentum into the high-quality development of its economy. In the Yiwu Industrial Park of Hami City, Xinjiang Xinyi Carbon Energy Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., a **-level specialized and innovative “little giant” enterprise, uses coke oven gas – a by-product of the pyrolysis of oil-rich coal in Hami – as raw material to establish a closed-loop production process that involves resource recovery, hierarchical utilization, and compliant emissions. This approach enables the efficient and clean use of coke oven gas. The company has not only built China’s largest and most technologically advanced coke oven gas power generation facility but also established new production lines capable of producing 90,000 tons of LNG (liquefied natural gas) and 160,000 tons of liquid ammonia per year. Coke oven gas, which used to be considered \"waste gas,\" is now put to good use, resulting in an annual reduction of about 74,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
