According to reports from Sinochem New Network, with the approval of the **Energy Administration, the Standardization Technical Committee for hydrogen energy in the energy sector was established in Beijing on March 5. The establishment of this committee aims to improve the industry standard system, drive technological innovation, and regulate market order. A total of 4 hydrogen standardization technical committees were established this time: one for hydrogen fundamentals and general aspects, one for hydrogen production, one for hydrogen storage and transportation, and one for hydrogen applications. Sinopec is responsible for managing these committees; the secretariats of the committees dealing with hydrogen fundamentals and general aspects as well as hydrogen applications are located at Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Chemistry Co., Ltd. **Liu Deshun, Chief Engineer of the Energy Bureau and Director of the Science and Technology Department, said that **the Energy Bureau attaches great importance to standardization in the hydrogen energy sector and is making every effort to advance this process. It is hoped that all parties will work together to accelerate the establishment of a high-standard framework that matches the scale of China’s hydrogen energy industry and aligns with global trends in energy transformation, so as to ensure the healthy and orderly development of this industry and contribute to the green and low-carbon transition of energy.
