Solve. I want to remove SO2 first; do any of you experts have any good suggestions? Option 1: SO2 is insoluble in saturated salt water, while hydrogen chloride is soluble in saturated salt water. By using saturated salt water, heating the saturated salt water removes hydrogen chloride. Option 2: Utilize distillation to remove SO2, taking advantage of the different boiling points of SO2 and HCl. Do any of you have other suggestions? Let’s discuss it together.
