Experts, I would like to ask: are all current sulfur recovery units equipped with post-use alkaline washing? What kind of processes are used? Our sulfur plant is currently planning to install post-alkaline washing facilities. The design team has proposed several processes for consideration, including power wave alkaline washing, 3D Company’s SWSR process, and Dalian Institute’s SVDS process. Has anyone been using these processes? How is it working? What are the problems that occur during operation?
We use a three-dimensional approach, which is quite good; it involves lye circulation, oxidation, and external delivery
We use the power wave reverse injection technology; the Claus load is low, resulting in reduced alkali consumption and less demineralized water usage. The oxidation air is not used at all. However, the operational flexibility is extremely limited, and it is not possible to ensure that emissions meet the required standards in case of abnormalities
