Sulfur recovery uses a complexed iron process; is fire-resistant painting required for the steel structures in the facility according to the regulations?

I would like to ask the experts here: I am working on a renovation project that involves shutting down the existing Claus sulfur recovery unit, and constructing a new sulfur recovery system using the complex iron process in an area adjacent to the existing sulfur recovery chimney (with a processing capacity of around 1 ton per day). The newly installed unit is more than 25 meters away from all other existing units at the factory. The client requests that the steel structure used for the new ferrous complexation unit not be coated with fireproof paint – is this acceptable?
