Dear sea friends: Do you carry out ferrous sulfide neutralization and cleaning when your hydrogenation and acidic water sulfur treatment units are shut down?
Alkali washing is required; otherwise, it may catch fire on its own when exposed to air.
It has not been washed; only cleaned with water and steam
For acidic water sulfur maintenance, deodorization and passivation are required; however, this is not necessary if the work is carried out without opening manholes during a short-term shutdown.
If modification is required to allow people to enter or for air to reach it, alkali washing is necessary; otherwise, it is not needed
