My unit uses single-tower side-line stripping; acidic gas is emitted from the tower top, and the top temperature is maintained at 40 degrees. In winter, an auxiliary heating line for the acidic gas is activated to prevent crystallization in the pipelines. Is this auxiliary heating line also used in summer? Please discuss, extra points available
The heat tracing is used to prevent the formation of ammonium salts crystals in acidic gas pipelines; to avoid such crystallization, I believe it’s necessary to keep the heat tracing unobstructed even in summer.
The crystallization temperature of ammonium salts is around 60°C; by this point, the ammonia extracted through the side line has essentially been removed. The temperature at the top of the tower is 40°C. If heating is used to prevent crystallization, then it indeed serves a heating purpose, and in summer it must be turned on. If it’s used to prevent freezing, then it’s probably not necessary

Sorry, the word was written incorrectly; it should be “form”. How is this resolved? Not “formation”.
Temperatures below 70 degrees can lead to the crystallization of ammonium salts. Although temperatures are higher in summer, they can’t be that high; therefore, heat tracing is definitely necessary
Heating wires need to be installed. When the acidic gas pipeline is put into use here, the heat tracing system will also be activated, 1. to prevent ammonium salt crystallization. 2. Prevent liquid from accumulating in the pipeline.
Based on the crystallization temperature, the acidic gas at the top of the wastewater stripping tower needs to remain in operation throughout the year
It needs to be turned on; a level below the control range may cause crystallization
Heat tracing is required; ammonium salt crystallization does not stop just because of the high temperatures in summer.
