Recently, our company’s sulfur plant underwent maintenance on the sulfur production furnace. Could you please inform us of the precautions that should be taken during the furnace drying process?
Heating and holding at temperature must be carried out strictly in accordance with the furnace heating procedure; if a large amount of water vapor is detected escaping, heating should not proceed and the temperature should be maintained until no more water vapor escapes before heating can continue.
Fast & Furious: heating speed, cooling speed, constant temperature duration. It should be slow, not fast; it’s better to wait rather than rush. The temperature must be measured accurately, and the measurement points need to be chosen scientifically. Ensure everything is completely dry before lighting, and use the main fan to blow hot air first
During the first furnace drying, it is necessary to strictly follow the temperature rise curve; it is better to proceed more slowly.
