May I ask that during the shutdown for sulfur treatment, if possible, could hydrogen be used as the fuel gas?
Controllability and safety must be taken into account.
The use of hydrogen is not recommended. Hydrogen mainly produces water vapor; poor control of the temperature at the outlet of the condenser can lead to the condensation of this water vapor. Additionally, purging requires a large amount of flue gas, that is, inert gas containing sulfur, so it seems that using natural gas is better. Natural gas also produces water vapor, but its partial pressure is low, making it less likely for liquid water to form. Of course, it is still necessary to prevent the condensation of water vapor during this process.
