What is the difference between an acidic water vapor stripping degassing tank and a solvent regeneration flash tank?
There shouldn’t be much difference; they’re both flash vapor oils. It seems the only difference is that the rich liquid needs to be heated for moderate-temperature flashing.
The flashed hydrocarbons can have their energy level reduced, after which they are sent to the gas receiver. There, they pass through a compressor before being reused. The gas from the degassing tank, if not treated, can only be sent to an acid gas flare for combustion; if it is sent directly to the gas receiver, its high salt content can cause scaling in the compressor
The flash vapor from the degassing tank also goes to the low-pressure gas flare, right?
