The pH value of the acidic water entering the stripping tower is too low; it appears that sulfides should be virtually absent in the stripping water during the stripping process. Another possible reason is that the biomass oil upstream suffers from significant rancidity and oxidation; the organic acid ammonium salts formed by small organic acids and ammonia nitrogen hinder the escape of ammonia during the stripping process.
