I’m seeking advice from everyone: after the solvent regeneration unit stops operating and the MDEA is transferred to the solvent storage tank, what kind of water should be used to wash the equipment in the unit? Where should the wash water be discharged? Is there a dedicated container for collecting rinse water? Will the amount of wash water be greater than the amount of solvent? What should be done with the wash water afterward? I’d like to ask everyone about the operating method. Thank you.
It is best to wash with deionized water; the washing water can be stored in an idle solvent tank for use as preparation water or as a solvent makeup during normal production. There’s nowhere to store it; it can only be discharged into the sewage treatment system (it contains solvent residues, and has high COD and ammonia-nitrogen levels).
