Recently, the tube sheet of the waste heat boiler behind the converter in the unit’s sulfur recovery section leaked, which severely affected the control of the flue gas inlet temperature as well as the absorption process in the desulfurization tower that follows. At present, it is not clear whether there are any alternatives that do not rely on the waste heat boiler for heat recovery, and that could solve this problem using other techniques The exhaust heat boiler outlet temperature is 750°C; the inlet temperature of the desulfurization tower is required to be 220°C, with a flue gas flow rate of 7000 Nm³/h.
