It must have been calculated according to the new standards, but there is a problem here regarding anchoring. Under the new standards, if a fixed roof together with a vent valve is used, the calculations will not hold up when the pressure reaches a certain level. To comply with the new standards, it is necessary to add additional anchoring measures or reduce the set pressure of the vent valve. All these measures go against common sense. Some design institutes follow the standards strictly, while others believe that the standards themselves are flawed and ignore them altogether. So things are a bit chaotic now; I wonder how everyone handles such problems?

Converting internal floating roof tanks into arch roof tanks is feasible for Class C materials; however, for armored or Class B materials, the fire separation distances are not appropriate.
