I would like to ask the experts: what is the practice for industrial recirculation ponds in Qinghai region? Are these ponds open-type or enclosed with a cover? Can the recirculation pumps be placed outdoors, or is it necessary to build a pump room? Is it feasible to construct a pump area according to the process requirements? Whether to consider insulation for the circulating water pool
I’ve never been to Qinghai, so I’m not aware of the effects of factors such as temperature differences and climate. There’s a simplest way: take a look at how other factories in the area are designed.
In winter, the average lowest temperature in Qinghai can reach -20°C, while the highest temperature is only -7°C, making it extremely cold. During spring and autumn, sand and dust from the Gobi Desert can cause dust storms, leading to severe pollution. Under such climate conditions, the design of the recirculation pool is influenced by the following factors: 1. The recirculation pool is semi-underground, with a small area that is open to the outside ; The part of the concrete tank that is above ground level is insulated with 100-mm thick polystyrene boards, after which a brick protective layer is applied ; The open area of the roof cover is also insulated with 100 mm thick polystyrene boards, and a 100 mm thick mixed mortar protective layer is applied on top. 2. The circulating water pump must be installed in a pump room, which is equipped with heating. For the circulating water pump, an inclined-flow pump can be chosen, with the motor on top and the pump at the bottom.
