Since the beginning of this year, Nanjing Chemical Industry Company has focused on energy optimization and resource integration in its production processes. Adopting the approach of \"minor technical upgrades for significant energy savings,\" it has implemented 6 small-scale energy-saving improvement projects to help the company reduce costs and increase efficiency. As of the end of April, these two measures have resulted in savings of over 500,000 yuan in steam costs, thereby reducing production costs. To make use of the excess air volume in the factory’s air duct system, Nanhua connected pipes from the existing air duct system to the Catalyst Division of the research institute; as a result, one 280-kilowatt air compressor was taken out of service. Through these optimizations, 1.52 million yuan in electricity costs can be saved each year, and the investment cost is recovered within 3 months. Advance the iteration of efficient and energy-saving equipment. To address the issue of air leakage in traditional traps, Nanhua has promoted the use of high-efficiency Venturi traps in certain production units where gas consumption is high and steady. They utilized 5 venturi hydroscanners from a 100,000-ton-per-year **plant that was out of service to replace 17 sets of conventional hydroscanners in plants producing chlorobenzene, nitrochlorobenzene, etc.; this reduced steam leakage and achieved significant savings in energy consumption.
