The circulating water side of a circulating water heat exchanger generally does not require anti-corrosion treatment; instead, it is necessary to control the quality of the circulating water.
It seems that the chloride content in the recycled water processed by the recirculation water station is very high!
For a circulating water cooling system, no anti-corrosion treatment is required for the equipment. If anti-corrosion treatment is to be applied to a shell and tube heat exchanger, then how should it be done? It mainly controls various parameters of the circulating water to prevent scaling, corrosion, etc.
For circulating water heat exchangers, the circulating water side needs to be protected against corrosion. Firstly, the high concentration of chlorides in the circulating water causes severe corrosion of the equipment. Employees at another circulating water station may not be able to add corrosion inhibitors on time, and in many cases the effectiveness of these inhibitors is not very good. To extend the service life of the heat exchanger, anti-corrosion measures should be taken. After 3–5 years, reapplying the anti-corrosion coating can be considered depending on the condition of its wear.
