An old member, but posting in the production area for the first time. There is a problem with the layout of the equipment in this facility: due to its small size, cranes cannot be used. If the heat exchangers are placed on the framework platforms inside the facility, issues related to removing them and lifting them arise. I would like to ask the experts and friends: after removing the core from the heat exchanger on the platform, how is it lifted to the ground? I’ve seen information indicating that this can be achieved by installing crane beams on the platform. Lugs are installed on the heat exchanger, it is lifted using a crane beam, and then the heat exchanger core is lifted to the ground. But after all, it’s something from books; is this actually done in actual production? Is this common? Thank you!
A professional maintenance team can solve the problem using five chain hoists; a crane is entirely unnecessary

When designing the layout of new equipment, space for future maintenance of the heat exchanger is taken into consideration; the direction in which the core is removed should be aligned with the access path for maintenance, as required by design standards. To remove the core from the heat exchanger, a specialized core-extraction machine is used, operated by a crane. If lifting conditions are not available, alternative methods are employed, such as creating supporting fixtures and using guiding rollers along with chain blocks to pull the core out.
