350 million yuan! Sinopec 10th Construction Company wins the bid for Wanhua Chemical’s 1 million tons per year ethylene project

On January 29, 2018, good news came from the Yantai Wanhua project: following its win in the bid for the second phase of Wanhua Chemical’s gasification project in December, Sinopec Tenth Construction Co., Ltd. won another bid for Section I of the installation work for Wanhua Chemical Group’s 1 million tons per year ethylene production project. The cost of construction for this section is estimated at 350 million yuan. The project scope includes the installation of the ethylene cracking unit for Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd.’s integrated polyurethane industry chain ethylene project, along with the associated auxiliary and utility facilities; it also involves the construction of other supporting units and the correction of defects during the warranty period. The start date was April 1, 2018, and the completion date was April 30, 2020. 　　 Winning the bid for the ethylene project was not only a successful start for the Second Installation Branch in terms of market development in 2018, but it also laid a solid foundation for Shijian Company to maintain its presence in the Wanhua market and establish itself in Yantai on a long-term basis. 　　 Having won bids for two large-scale chemical production facilities of Wanhua Chemical on consecutive occasions, with a total contract value of over 600 million yuan, this reflects the owner’s high approval of Shijian Company’s construction management capabilities for the first-phase projects. It also lays a solid foundation for long-term cooperation between Shijian Company and Wanhua Chemical. 　　 Since entering Wanhua in 2011, Shijian Company has undertaken the construction of 5 large-scale facilities in the western part of the industrial park, including the gasification unit area, propane dehydrogenation unit area, special amine unit area, and utility systems. It has since taken on another 6 facilities in the eastern area, such as the MMA project, PMMA project, and synthetic fragrance production facilities, with a total contract value exceeding 1 billion yuan.
