Additive mixing operations: Fixed facilities for adding and removing additives should be provided for various types of additives; static mixers should also be installed on the oil pipelines where additives are added continuously. When the dosage is high, a continuous addition method should be preferred; for lower dosages, batch addition or a continuous addition method after preparing a master solution can be used. When no master solution is prepared and the dosage is low, the batch addition of the additive requires an appropriate extension of the addition time. It is necessary to understand the physical properties of various additives; during the processes of removing additives, adding them, and preparing the mother solution, appropriate safety precautions should be taken in accordance with the safety data sheets. Operation cards should be prepared for adding and removing agents, and these cards must be strictly followed. The addition of strong oxidizing additives is prohibited.
