Some companies, during construction, replace the originally designed shielded pumps with centrifugal pumps. Is this a proper approach?
Considering the properties of the medium, if it is hazardous, it is recommended to use a shielded pump!
We have used shielded pumps for almost everything here that requires them.
That’s great; using shielded pumps for toxic media provides basic protection for the health of frontline operators.
Changing it arbitrarily definitely won’t work! Changing the design requires approval. If changes are made during operation, there is also a change management process; any changes must be documented and approved. When choosing equipment, companies certainly need to consider cost and cost-effectiveness, and both factors should be taken into account. However, the approved design requirements and specification requirements cannot be changed arbitrarily
The shielded pump designed has its inherent necessity, and it cannot be changed arbitrarily.
China’s canned motor pumps are now available at prices accessible to ordinary households; there’s no need to worry about finding an expert to negotiate, as the prices of these pumps are reasonable. In terms of cost, changing the manufacturing process was acceptable 20 years ago; but now, safety comes first – there’s no need to do that!
Dual considerations: energy conservation and environmental protection benefits
Of course, the process requirements must be met first, before considering energy conservation and environmental protection.
