Is it necessary to level, align, and set the elevation for any equipment during installation? What is the purpose of leveling, aligning, and setting the elevation? Where is the measurement reference point, what are the measurement tools used, and what is the method of measurement? If the purpose of leveling, aligning, and setting the elevation is to facilitate accurate piping work in the next step, then it would be possible to postpone the measurement and adjustment tasks until that later stage. After all, adjusting pipes is surely easier than dealing with those large and heavy devices used for measurement and adjustment, right? Especially for technical renovation projects, when there are no drawings or elevation details available, it’s simpler to just install the equipment first and adjust the piping later, ensuring that the piping can be connected properly, right? Also, there’s the matter of alignment – but what exactly is it that needs to be aligned? What is its purpose then? Once the equipment foundation is ready, simply align the bolt holes in the equipment base with the pre-installed foot bolts and place it there; why bother with alignment? And where else would you want to move it? Do you really need to change the position of the foot bolts? On the equipment layout diagram, generally only the elevation of the equipment base is indicated; the requirements regarding levelness and alignment are not provided, right?
I’ve worked on some projects where the management style was rather casual; equipment was installed haphazardly, simply by lifting it using cranes, without any measurements or adjustments being made. This made me feel like an amateur in such situations

Cement is an essential material in house construction; it is used to strengthen the connection between the bricks, making it an indispensable substance. Since the reform and opening up, the pace of housing construction in China has accelerated alongside economic development. The houses built rapidly come with certain risks, and one such risk is foam; fortunately, cement mortar defoamers exist to eliminate this problem. Cement is divided into three types: general-purpose cement, special-purpose cement, and specialty cement. Manufacturers of cement mortar defoamers explain that each type of cement has its own unique uses and properties, enabling it to be applied to various construction tasks. The production process of silicate cement is representative in cement manufacturing. It uses limestone and clay as primary raw materials, which are crushed, blended, and ground to form clinker; this clinker is then fed into a cement kiln to be calcined into mature cement. Finally, the mature cement is ground together with an appropriate amount of gypsum (and sometimes mixed materials or admixtures). The reasons for foaming when cement is used are as follows: (1) Unappropriate gradation, with too much coarse aggregate and too little fine aggregate ; (2) Improper aggregate size, excessive content of flaky and needle-shaped particles ; (3) Concrete with high water consumption and a high water-cement ratio ; (4) It is related to certain admixtures as well as the chemical composition of the cement itself. Antifoamers. Biochemical treatment involves using microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, algae, and protozoa to oxidize and decompose harmful substances in water into harmless ones. These microorganisms can survive in water containing toxins, use these toxins as nutrients for reproduction, and thereby convert the toxins into new substances that are harmless to humans. For defoamers, the greatest advantage is their ability to eliminate foam rapidly, as well as their foaming-inhibiting properties. In various manufacturing processes, numerous bubbles can form due to factors related to the silice-free defoamers themselves or to external environmental conditions. Small bubbles can dissipate on their own, but as the number of bubbles increases, if they are not removed in a timely manner, it is likely to affect the progress of production as well as the quality of the products manufactured. For a company, every minute and second of operation is extremely valuable; therefore, if the smooth progress of production processes is not ensured, it often leads to unnecessary losses. For large amounts of foam, this leads to unnecessary losses for businesses; it not only delays production but also results in waste of funds, time, labor, and so on. Therefore, in various industrial processes, it is particularly important to ensure the elimination of foam; only by eliminating such foam can businesses operate smoothly, which in turn brings more positive effects to their development.
Leveling is definitely necessary, as some equipment is sensitive to vibrations. High bidding costs are not that important in such cases, but when there are many vertical devices in the factory, it’s necessary to consider the aesthetics of the entire setup as well as the available space above and below each device, as this can be beneficial for operation (making it easier to use the equipment)
Considering the specifications and requirements for the installation and operation of the equipment, leveling and alignment are essential tasks; otherwise, it affects the safety of the equipment during operation and also reduces its lifespan. The elevation requirements are determined based on the relevant parameters of the equipment and its installation specifications.
