Standardization and 5S

The manager keeps asking me to find standardized documents one moment, and then to prepare materials related to 5S the next. Everyone, is there any connection between standardization and 5S? Does standardization refer only to safety standardization, or does it include standardization in production, QC, QA, as well as safety? Is the leader crazy to combine these two into one?

Yes, standardization does involve a lot of work, and it requires a person who has a comprehensive understanding to take charge and lead a team to carry it out. 5S, on the other hand, covers a relatively smaller scope; in my understanding, it is a method aimed at maintaining cleanliness, with the goal of turning this method into a habit and thus becoming part of one’s character. They are all tasks that are a bit difficult
If you don’t understand your leader’s intentions, don’t guess randomly; just carry out the orders. If you’re curious, open your noble mouth and ask more questions and seek guidance. An online friend thousands of miles away is not the greed in your boss’s belly.
If 5S is done well, implementing safety standardization becomes much easier
