Everyone, are there any new regulations stating that static connection wires should not be used between the ship and the shore? Should they be separated by insulated flanges so that the static electricity generated on each side can be dissipated separately?

In reality, ships built during various periods, both domestically and internationally, have varying capacities for discharging static electricity – some have strong such capabilities, while others have weak ones or none at all – and this also depends on the facilities and practices at the port. Currently, in China it is common practice to connect static wires; it is less common to connect such wires to the outer wheels. However, if the port authorities require it, this approach is also accepted.
