I would like to ask the experts: are fire extinguishers required for hot work during the construction of petrochemical projects? Are there any regulatory requirements in this regard?
Although there is no process medium in the pipeline, it is impossible to guarantee that no other substances will catch fire; therefore, it is better to equip it with such a system!

During the construction of petrochemical projects, fire extinguishing equipment must be available in areas where welding work is carried out. In addition, fire extinguishing equipment is also needed in areas such as decoration, spraying, cutting, material storage, restaurants, offices, and so on. It would be excellent if a medical clinic (with 1 general practitioner and 1 nurse) could also be provided at the project construction site.
Required; to be provided by the contractor, as specified in the Contractor’s obligations clause of the Construction Contract.
It’s definitely needed! There are many cases of fires at construction sites!
