On August 19, the Shandong Chemical Industry Special Action Office announced the expansion plans for 5 industrial parks: the Qingdao Dongjiakou Chemical Industry Park, the Qilu Chemical Industry Zone, and the Liaocheng Chemical Industry Park; as well as the expansion plans for the Feixian Adhesive Chemical Industry Park and the Yanzhou Chemical Auxiliaries Industry Park. After the expansion, the total area of the Qingdao Dongjiakou Chemical Industry Park is 32.0946 square kilometers. After the expansion, the Qilu Chemical Industry Zone covers a total area of 32.3011 square kilometers, consisting of two zones. The area of the main zone is 30.6894 square kilometers ； The Ruilin Chemical Industry Zone covers an area of 1.6117 square kilometers. After the expansion, the Liaocheng Chemical Industry Park covers a total area of 9.5165 square kilometers, consisting of two zones. The area of the main zone is 9.1593 square kilometers ； The Qilu Paint Industry area covers an area of 0.3572 square kilometers. The total area of the Feixian Adhesive and Chemical Industry Park after the reorganization is 1.0101 square kilometers. The total area of the Yanzhou Chemical Additives Industrial Park after the reorganization is 4.0955 square kilometers. Since the establishment of chemical industrial parks in Shandong Province, as project construction has accelerated, the available land in some of these parks has become nearly saturated. In particular, after the provincial government approved the territorial spatial plans for various cities, the demand to expand or relocate these parks has increased significantly. In October 2022, the General Office of the Shandong Provincial Government issued the \"Procedures for the Expansion of Chemical Industrial Parks in Shandong Province (Trial)\\", which has been in trial use for over two years. On January 7 this year, Shandong Province released the newly revised \"Measures for the Expansion and Reallocation of Chemical Industrial Parks in Shandong Province\". The new measures increase the criteria for expanding the area from 12 to 16, raising the standard requirements in areas such as planning, industry, safety, environmental protection, and water use. At the same time, the thresholds for indicators such as comprehensive evaluation, key industries, efficiency per mu, and land use have been appropriately raised. At the same time, the new regulations introduce a section on zone adjustments, distinguishing between zone adjustments and expansions. For cases of zone adjustments that involve only partial optimization without an increase in land area, specific standard conditions are set, and no strict requirements are imposed any longer on certain economic indicators.
