This article introduces the factory information and safety technical file requirements for bursting discs, and tries to collect them as completely as possible. E.3.5 Rupture disc factory information When delivering the product, the manufacturer shall provide at least the following information with the product:: (1) Product certificate ； (2) Assembly diagram of bursting disc device ； (3) Instruction manual ； (4) Product quality certificate (provided to users according to batch) ； (5) Relevant documents stipulated in the contract between the manufacturing unit and the user. E5 Usage Management E5.1 Safety Technology Files The user of the bursting disc device may use electronic information methods to track and manage the safety technology files. The retention period of the safety technology files shall not be less than the service life of the bursting disc device. Safety technical files should include the following contents: (1) Rupture disc device product quality certification documents and installation instructions ； (2) Regular self-inspection records and reports of bursting disc devices ； (3) Daily use records of bursting disc devices ； (4) Records of replacement of bursting disc devices or parts ； (5) Operational failures, accidents and maintenance records of bursting disc devices ； (6) The date of installation and use of the bursting disc device. Remark: The quality certificate includes at least the following contents: Product name, batch number, product model, manufacturing (batch) quantity, product specification (clamp code or nominal diameter of the relief port), material grade, material standard, applicable medium, applicable temperature, design bursting pressure, bursting pressure tolerance, bursting temperature, flow resistance coefficient (when applicable), manufacturing standards, qualification mark, seal of the inspector, signature or seal of the quality assurance engineer, name of the manufacturing unit, special equipment production license number, special inspection seal or official seal, and manufacturing date.
During the installation of bursting discs, the replacement of bursting discs is often encountered during use. There have also been cases where the bursting discs were installed incorrectly. The arched direction of the bursting discs was installed in the opposite direction. Users complained. Be sure to strictly follow the installation instructions for correct installation. E4.2 Installation of bursting discs (1) After unpacking the bursting disc packaging box (box), check whether the bursting disc is damaged and whether there are traces of extrusion on the arch surface. Installation can only be carried out after confirming that there is no damage or extrusion. ； (2) The bursting disc device should be installed correctly in accordance with the requirements of the installation and operating instructions, and ensure that the discharge port is clear ； (3) After installing the holder into the clamping flange in the correct direction, the bolts of the clamping flange should be tightened evenly ； (4) The nameplate of the bursting disc device should be easy to read after installation. ； (5) When the discharge pipeline of the bursting disc device is long and has an impact on the clamping force of the bursting disc, measures should be taken to eliminate the impact of pipeline installation on the clamping force of the bursting disc. ； (6) If discharge collection pipes are used for multiple bursting disc devices, the cross-section of the collection pipe shall not be less than the sum of the minimum relief areas of all bursting disc devices that may be discharged at the same time. ； (7) During the installation process of the bursting disc device, the arch surface of the bursting disc must not be damaged, a sealing gasket must not be added between the bursting disc and the holder, and any repairs and processing on the holder are not allowed. ； (8) When the discharge pipeline of the bursting disc device is installed, the center line of the pipeline should be coaxial with the center line of the bursting disc device to avoid uneven stress on the bursting disc, causing the bursting disc to pull away or change the bursting pressure.
After the rupture disc device is purchased and accepted at the factory, it is necessary to carefully check the relevant signs and nameplates to avoid the trouble of being found to be non-compliant with the standards after the product is used, causing the need for replacement or reissue. Those who read the mark electronically must remember to scan the code in person to confirm. In the past, the license to scan the QR code of the flange material book has expired, and rectification is very troublesome. E3.4 Marks and nameplates The bursting disc device manufacturing unit shall install a clear, permanent, traceable nameplate or electronic reading mark on each bursting disc and holder. Those who use electronic reading signs should meet the following requirements:: (1) The electronic reading mark set can be a QR code or a barcode, and should be directly engraved on the product body or nameplate to ensure that it cannot be replaced and can be effectively read during the service life of the bursting disc device. ； (2) If you choose to engrave the electronic reading mark directly on the product body, you should ensure that the engraving process will not affect the performance of the bursting disc device and it should be easy to view. ； (3) The bursting disc device manufacturing unit that chooses to install electronic reading marks shall be responsible for building its own bursting disc device product information disclosure platform and disclosing product manufacturing data batch by batch. The information data of each batch of products can be queried through mobile phone scanning. ； (4) The content of the electronic reading mark should be consistent with the content on the product nameplate. E3.4.1 Bursting disc nameplate The bursting disc nameplate shall include the following content: Special equipment production license number and logo, name or trademark of the manufacturing unit, model, date of manufacture, product number or batch number, material grade, manufacturing standards, specifications (or nominal diameter of the relief port), design bursting pressure, bursting pressure tolerance, bursting temperature, minimum relief area, flow resistance coefficient (when applicable), relief direction, and matching holder model or code. E3.4.2 Gripper nameplate The gripper nameplate shall include the following contents: Special equipment production license number and logo, name or trademark of the manufacturing unit, date of manufacture, product number or batch number, model or code number, material grade, specifications (or nominal diameter of the relief port), nominal pressure or pressure level, and relief direction.
