The graphical method is only suitable for: 1. binary systems； 2. Hypothesis of constant molar flow ； 3. Ideal systems (where the so-called relative volatility a is a constant). Therefore, this is merely a method used in textbooks for teaching purposes; please do not place much emphasis on it: the graphical approach has little practical value. As for whether it’s Excel or another method, that’s less important.
