To improve the feed position in the distillation tower, a pipe is inserted as the feed source. To ensure proper flow rate and uniform distribution, how should the diameter of the holes and the number of holes be determined?
The total opening area is generally approximately equal to the cross-sectional area of the feed pipe
Plate tower or packed tower? Generally, the opening area is equal to the cross-sectional area of the feed pipe.
Generally, the opening area is sufficient to be equal to the area of the feed inlet. However, the holes need to be evenly distributed; using holes for this purpose does not yield very good distribution of the material, and a liquid distributor would be better.
