Can the tower skirt be disconnected, using bolt connections?

Since the tower’s welded skirt is too long to transport, can it be separated and connected using bolts? I have made very few tower structures; I hope the experts here can offer some guidance. Thank you!
It can be transported in sections to the site and welded there.
Segmenting the tower can easily result in hazardous sections; it is not recommended – it is better to transport it to the site for welding.
It’s best if the designer steps in to make the corrections; tower units connected with bolts have been seen before. But it can’t be changed arbitrarily, right? What kind of design approval procedures are needed here? For reference.
This is different from the connection using anchor bolts and the bottom of the skirt; the anchor bolts are buried deep. In this case, since the parts in the middle of the skirt are connected by bolts, a flange structure is needed, which isn’t very reliable
