The OH type refers to cantilever centrifugal pumps (horizontal) or vertical pipeline pumps. Type BB refers to double-support centrifugal pumps; single-stage double-suction pumps for circulating water, multi-stage pumps for boiler feed water, and high-pressure multi-stage centrifugal pumps with dual casings all fall under Type BB. The VS type commonly refers to long-axis submersible pumps, which are used in deep tanks; the motor and bearing housing are located at the top of the tank, while the impeller and pump casing are at the bottom.
