People are probably quite familiar with slurry pumps, and they often encounter various problems. How should these issues be resolved? Jingbo Cloud Commerce has prepared the following solutions: Mud pump failure 1: The pump fails to draw in water. Reasons: Insufficient water supply for filling, air trapped inside the pump, leaks in the suction pipe, and a large gap between the front liner and the impeller. Solution: Continue to supply water, check for air leaks in the pipes, and adjust the gap between the impeller and the front shroud. Mud pump fault 2: Slow water filling in the pump. Reasons: Large gap between the front liner and the impeller, the outlet pipe failing to prevent air from entering, and complete emptying. Solution: Adjust the gap, adjust the water outlet pipe, and install a vacuum pump. Mud pump fault 3: Low discharge pressure and low flow rate. Causes: Air in the pump, large gap between the impeller and the front liner, loose clutch engagement, or wear of the impeller or liners. Solution: Drain the gas from the pump, adjust the clearance, adjust the clearance of the clutch friction plates, and replace the impeller or liner. Mud pump fault 4: Causes of water pump vibration – misalignment between the pump shaft and the diesel engine (or motor), unbalanced impeller, damaged bearings. Solution: Adjust the concentricity, perform a balance test on the impeller, and replace the bearings. Mud pump fault 5: Rapid wear of the impeller journal. Causes: low head of the high-pressure water pump, misalignment of the packing, and misalignment between the pump shaft and the rear cover. Solution: Replace with a high-pressure pump that has a higher head than the mud pump, replace the packing, and adjust the concentricity. Mud pump fault 6: Rapid pump wear. Reasons: poor construction environment (large particles), long transportation distance, and long inlet pipeline. Solution: Replace the sand pit, add a booster unit, and shorten the length of the water inlet pipe to reduce cavitation.
