Previously, while I was on the production site, I took out mop heads with wooden handles from the bends of mass flow meters; we were also puzzled as to how those items got from the pipelines into the flow meters. There is visual evidence: due to the phenol medium, phenol turns into ice in winter; after cleaning it with steam, what is seen is a mop head. This happened in a chemical plant in the northeast in 2008; it was said that there was a problem with our mass flow meter, and after removing the meter, we found that this was indeed the issue. If it had happened during the previous Cultural Revolution era, such behavior would have been investigated as acts of class enemies sabotaging production.
It’s probably like throwing a socialist mop head into a capitalist mass flow meter.
