The pump features a single-face mechanical seal; there is leakage during the hydrostatic test after the mechanical seal is installed, and there is slight axial spraying leakage when the pump shaft is rotated. What are the causes of this? The preliminary guess is that the dynamic ring auxiliary seal ring is not installed properly, or it is damaged
Additional information: The leakage point remains fixed and does not change direction as the turbine is rotated; instead, the leakage volume increases suddenly in the axial direction when the turbine reaches a certain position
It’s likely that the static ring O-ring isn’t installed properly, or the sealing ring of the static ring isn’t fitted correctly
If it’s damaged, it will leak no matter where you turn it. Check whether the sealing ring is installed properly.
