I. Preparations and inspections before starting the machine1. The voltage should be within the range of 380V ± 10%.
2. All instruments and electrical equipment must be in good condition.
3. All connection bolts for the Roots blower and pipelines, as well as the base bolts, couplings, and other relevant bolts, must be tightened properly.
4. The lubricating oil in the gear oil tank should be filled to the midpoint of the oil level mark, using the specified grade of oil.
5. Lubricate the bearings by adding an appropriate amount of lubricating oil using a grease gun.
6. Manually rotate the coupling 2–3 times to check for any abnormalities inside the machine.
7. Check the tension of the belt and the alignment of the pulleys.
II. Operation under load
1. It is strictly prohibited to start the Roots blower under pressure. Before starting each blower, the vent valve must first be opened; only after the blower is running properly can the exhaust valve be opened. Then, the vent valve can be slowly closed, with adjustments made until the rated pressure is reached, allowing the blower to operate at full load. 2. After the Roots blower is started, it is strictly prohibited to completely close the air outlet duct to avoid explosion accidents. 3. The air volume of the Roots blower cannot be adjusted via valves; it must be adjusted through a bypass. 4. For all water-cooled fans, the cooling water should be turned on first; it is strictly prohibited to operate them without circulating cooling water, as this may cause equipment failures. III. Shutdown Procedure 1. Before shutting down, take notes first, recording data such as voltage, current, and air pressure. 2. Gradually open the vent valve, press the stop button, close the air outlet valve, and finally turn off the cooling water. IV. Precautions 1. Conduct a routine inspection once per hour to check the current and voltage of the operating motors, to verify whether the operating fans have sufficient oil or are leaking oil, to ensure that the sound levels are normal, and to check that the water cooling system is functioning properly. The fan must be supplied with the specified lubricating oil as required by the instructions; it is strictly prohibited to operate it without oil or cooling water, as this will lead to accidents. 2. In the event of any abnormal conditions, the blower should be stopped immediately, maintenance personnel should be notified promptly to carry out repairs, and records should be kept. 3. Whether it is an air-cooled or water-cooled fan, the temperature of the operating bearings must be strictly controlled. Conduct routine inspections every two hours; when the temperature exceeds 70°C, the machine should be shut down for cooling (or follow the instructions). 4. The fans should operate in rotation, switching back and forth.
