The motor flange is fixed; it’s a flexible-block coupling, so alignment is not required.
We have used it as well, but we have never adjusted its alignment; basically, once the motor is installed in place, there are no issues with its operation.
The motor base has a stop, so ensure it is installed in place; also pay attention to the distance between the two couplings
What was said upstairs is correct – there is a shoulder at the connection point between the motor and the suspension, which serves to position them and ensure alignment. Generally, no further adjustment is needed. If an elastic pin coupling is used, it’s important to note that there should be an interference fit between the elastic rubber ring and the coupling pins; moreover, a radial gap of 50 microns to 1 millimeter should be left inside the coupling hole for the elastic rubber ring. After the motor is installed, an axial gap of 2 to 6 millimeters should exist between the two coupling wheels
As long as it is properly installed, the coupling does not need to be aligned.
Looking at the structure of the pump, if it is positioned using the motor bracket and the shoulders on the motor flange, there is no need for alignment; simply controlling the axial distance is sufficient. For pumps like FLOWSERVE’s WUC model, the motor and the support below it are not aligned using butt joints; there are adjustment set screws around the support, and alignment is necessary in such cases.
