I have two Tiantede vertical high-speed pumps here, and the manufacturer said that machine oil grade 46 would be sufficient. I always feel it’s not quite right, because for high-speed gearbox oil, I think anti-wear gear oil would be more appropriate I’d like to ask everyone: what lubricants do you use?
Oil with viscosity grade 46 has a somewhat common way of use; it’s best to use gear oil with a lower viscosity for this pump
May I ask what specific grade it is?
If the quantity is large, you can purchase some industrial gear oil; you can choose from various lubricant brands, such as 150 or 220. If the quantity is small, you can simply buy some automotive gear oil, with 75W or 80W grades being suitable options. You can consult the seller when making the purchase
We use Great Wall brand 4413 high-speed gear oil here. You can refer to it.
The gearbox we use here is CKD220
For high-speed pumps, it is better to follow the instructions regarding the oil to be used. For domestically produced pumps, the specialized Great Wall 4413 is generally recommended; if no specific recommendation is given, it is advisable to use imported 46# turbine oil.
It’s logically hard to understand; just follow what the manufacturer specifies. Why change it? This logic applies not only to the pump industry, right? Generally, it won’t, but just in case there are disputes over repairs, wouldn’t that be troublesome?
I don’t think the manufacturer’s service staff are necessarily correct.
