We have a magnetic pump here that is used primarily for pumping dilute sulfuric acid (with a concentration of around 40-50%). When the flow rate is below 1 cubic meter, the dilute acid flowing in from downstream (with a concentration of around 40%) often causes the pump to fail to operate properly; however, when the flow rate is above 1 cubic meter, the impact of the incoming dilute acid on the pump is not significant. The minimum flow rate required for this pump to function is 1.2 cubic meters. I would like to ask the experts whether this issue is caused by the pump’s minimum required flow rate

What’s the situation with the outlet pressure gauge? The medium is not a readily vaporizable liquid, and it is not necessarily caused by the minimum flow rate
The outlet valve is closed, and the outlet pressure can reach 4 kilograms. As the outlet valve gradually opens and reaches a certain degree of opening, the pressure drops rapidly; the vibration of the pump on site remains quite normal. The liquid used is dilute sulfuric acid with a concentration of 40-50.
Is it noisy when the output isn’t high? Does the pump body get hot?
When the valve is opened to a certain degree, the pressure drops, which indicates insufficient supply of fluid. Since there is a requirement for a minimum flow rate, why operate it at such a low flow level?
It is possible; with the return pipe in use, operate it at the normal flow rate for return.
If there is indeed a process requirement for a low flow rate, you can add a return pipe between the inlet and outlet to ensure the proper operation of the pump while still meeting your actual demand
We plan to add a pipeline at the outlet, connecting it to the drain at the pump inlet
