I. Pre-startup inspections and preparations 1. Inspect the pump and motor before starting: Check whether all the fastening bolts for the pump, motor, and base are present and properly tightened. Whether the pressure gauge pointer returns to zero. Check whether the lubricating oil meets the specified indicator line. 2. The pumps and motors should have a clean appearance, free from dust and oil residues; the safety guards should be in place and not loose, and the shaft seals should not leak oil. 3. Open the inlet and outlet valves of the centrifugal pump, and check that there are no leaks at the static seals of the pump and valves, and that there is no significant dripping from the dynamic seals (the allowable leakage rate for packing seals is 20 drops per minute). II. Startup and Operation Before turning it on, first rotate 1. Check after starting the motor. The rotation direction of the pump is clockwise when viewed from the pump inlet (only for initial installation and testing after disassembly for maintenance). Does the motor make any unusual noises, and is it hot? It is necessary to check whether the pressure gauge pointer rises normally; if the pressure is too high or there is no pressure at all, the valves in the piping system should be inspected immediately to determine whether they are open. Is there any noise during audio and video operation, and has the level of noise increased? 2. Observe whether the leakage from the static and dynamic seals under load conditions is within the specified range (60 drops per minute). 3. After normal operation, adjust the valves on the inlet and outlet pipelines to achieve the desired head and flow rate. 4. When using a centrifugal pump to transfer materials, it should be monitored frequently; inspections should be carried out at least twice per shift, with accurate original records kept. III. Parking 1. When parking, first cut off the power supply and close the inlet and outlet valves of the pump. 2. Check whether the pressure gauge pointer has returned to zero. IV. Maintenance 1. Check the oil level and quality of the bearings; the oil should be changed after one week of operation following maintenance, and thereafter it should be replaced every quarter. 2. Check that the bearing temperature is stable and within the specified range. 3. Check whether the leakage at the packing is normal, and adjust the tightness of the packing gland as needed. 4. Regularly check whether all instruments are working properly. 5. Are the noises and vibrations normal during operation? 6. Regularly check whether the bolts in various areas are loose. 7. Regularly monitor the water level in the suction pool to check whether the suction inlet is blocked, and avoid pumping water containing excessive sediment. 8. After parking in winter, pay attention to maintenance and anti-freezing.
