There are two 75kw circulation pumps and one 90kw pump; when the 90kw pump is used alone, the circulation water pressure can only reach 0.25 MPa. Even when all three pumps are in use, the pressure still only reaches 0.4 MPa. The flow rate seems to be sufficient. Circulating cooling water? As long as the cooling flow rate is sufficient, what’s the point of increasing the pressure? Is it just for aesthetic reasons? If you reduce the valve on the return side, the system pressure will increase, right?
If the rated head of the pump is 0.3, then using just one pump will not allow achieving this rated head; it makes sense to use two pumps. Using three pumps will result in a pressure of 0.4, which represents some waste. If one wants to increase the flow rate, it is essential to increase the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet water, rather than just raising the inlet pressure
If the main flow is sufficient, and it’s not possible to reach higher levels, it’s because the flow at lower levels is too high, causing a pressure drop; in such cases, the opening degree of the valves used at those lower levels can be reduced appropriately
What is the significance of increasing the circulating water pressure? The circulating water system is governed by parameters defined in the process design, including heat transfer capacity, heat transfer area, type of heat exchanger, circulation water volume, supply water pressure, wet bulb temperature, and cooling tower parameters. Wait. Just say one thing – it’s thoughtless and not helpful for coming up with ideas
At the branch connections of large users in lower areas, either the valves are reduced in size, or valves with higher back pressure are used, or back pressure valves are simply added
Option 1: Two 75KW pumps are connected in series, and then used in parallel with a 90KW pump. Option 2: Increase the pressure in the inlet pipeline. Option 3: Calculate the maximum diameter impeller that can be used with a replacement pump
Without considering other factors and focusing solely on increasing pressure, contacting the manufacturer to replace it with an impeller of larger diameter is the most economical solution. Closing the valve too tightly leads to a lot of energy waste, and it is not economical to operate in this way over the long term.
