At 1 p.m. on January 3, 2019, French time, a 5 minutes and 20 seconds long video from Guizhou was broadcast in France’s news program “13h00”. This video showcased the beautiful scenery and local customs of the Xiaoqi Kong scenic area in Libo, Guizhou, and as a result, Guizhou became very famous and gained recognition overseas.
Xiao Qikong refers to a seven-arch bridge that used to be located at the border between Guizhou and Guangxi in ancient times. After crossing the Xiao Qikong Bridge, you will be on two provinces at once.
Laya Waterfall. Massive streams of water burst forth from the trees in the mountains, shooting high into the air, crashing down and creating a flurry of mist. The waterfall is on the side of the road; we stand beneath it, with water droplets wetting the edges of our clothes and the cool water hitting our faces, washing away the fatigue from our journey and bringing us relief and energy.
The water forest in Xiaoqi Kong is divided into upper, middle, and lower sections. People can walk in the water of the upper and lower sections, or they can walk along the green stone paths; with the sound of flowing water and swaying green branches, it resembles a fairyland amidst green waters.
