The isomerization cyclohydrogen compressor, weighing 340 tons, is a veritable \"giant\" among aromatic compounds processing units. Not only is it large in size and heavy in weight, but it also requires high standards in terms of operational parameters, making it the \"heart\" of such units. Its commissioning is a critical step in the startup of the entire aromatic compounds plant. Since the units arrive as spare parts, large units involve thousands of components, making installation extremely difficult.
On April 8, 2022, the first trial run of the K701 compressor, the largest moving equipment at the Jiujiang branch of Sinopec Corporation, was successful, marking the entry of the aromatics plant at Jiujiang Petrochemical into its final phase of operation.
Is this compressor pre-assembled or in bulk form? Is it domestically produced or imported?
