On the morning of April 11, the People’s Government of Nanchong City, Yongrong Holding Group Co., Ltd., and the Management Committee of Sichuan Nanchong Economic Development Zone signed an investment agreement for a project aimed at establishing an integrated industrial chain for the production of 800,000 tons per year of functional new materials. It is understood that the total investment for this project under negotiation is around 33 billion yuan, with a land area of approximately 5,000 mu. The project will be constructed in two phases: the first phase requires an investment of about 10.2 billion yuan, while the second phase requires an investment of around 22.8 billion yuan. Primarily using natural gas as a raw material, the project aims to develop a series of biodegradable new materials with an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons, as well as ultra-realistic functional fibers with an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons. Once fully operational, it is expected to generate an annual output value of 24 billion yuan and profits and taxes of around 3.7 billion yuan.
