The water hammer relief valve is a state-of-the-art, high-performance relief device developed by Beijing Institute 11; it has earned a solid reputation through its use in various large-scale domestic petrochemical integration projects over the past few years. At the end of November 2021, leveraging its strong reputation in the aerospace industry, Beijing 11th Institute was able, thanks to its advanced technical solutions, strong commitment to service, and relentless efforts, to outcompete two well-known international brands that had long been supplying Saudi Aramco. It secured orders for all 109 water hammer pressure relief valves required for this project, with a contract value exceeding 10 million yuan. This represented a new record for the largest single order related to this specific type of product, and it opened the door to supplying large quantities of these valves to the world’s largest oil company.
