The Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay undersea natural gas pipeline project starts at Zhangyingmen Station and ends at the HuaDian terminal station (which is not part of this project). The total length of the pipeline is 73.8 km; its diameter is DN1000/DN900 for the land section on the west side, DN900 for the underwater section, and DN600 for the land section on the east side. The design pressure is 4.0 MPa, while the design pressure at Zhangyingmen Station is 8.0 MPa. The designed annual gas transport volume is approximately 36×108 Nm3/year. L450M steel pipes are used throughout the line. The Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay undersea natural gas pipeline project involves the construction of two new processing stations, namely Zhangyingmen Station (SP001) and Zhenping Road Pressure Regulation Station (SP002) ; 6 line valve chambers (VR001, VR002, VR003, VR005, VR007, VR008) and 2 valve wells (VR004, VR006) are installed; among them, valves/chambers 1–7 are all monitoring and shutoff valve wells, while chamber No. 8 on Huazhong Road is reserved for ball receiving and sending functions. The SHANGHE transfer valve well (VR009), Qianyang transfer valve well (VR010), and Gaoxin branch line transfer valve well (VR011) are equipped only with transfer valves. The upstream side of this project is fed by gas from the Zhangying Branch Pipeline Cleaning Station; the design pressure of the incoming pipeline is 8.0 MPa. The Zhangyingmen station’s process area is equipped with functions for filtration, metering, pressure regulation, heating, and gas release. The inlet pipeline has a diameter of D508 mm, while the outlet pipeline has a diameter of D1016 mm. Zhangyingmen station is constructed separately to the south of the existing Zhangyingqing pipeline cleaning station; the new facilities include a gatehouse, a heating room, a skid-mounted equipment room, a box-type substation, diesel generators, a process equipment area, vent pipes, and sewage tanks. Capacity: 1 person. Other offices rely on the existing **pipeline network Zhangying cleaning station. The process area of the Zhenping Road pressure regulation station is equipped with upstream gas reception units, downstream gas dispatch units, filtration and separation systems, as well as metering devices. The gas coming in from upstream is filtered and metered before being sent to downstream users via three separate routes ; Four branching functions are also reserved simultaneously.
Multiple technologies are “national leaders”. Firstly, it has achieved three \"national firsts\": the Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay undersea gas pipeline project is the longest urban gas pipeline in China that runs across marine areas; it is the first pipeline to pass beneath a cross-sea bridge; and it is the first gas pipeline to be laid using the \"directional drilling\" technique from land to sea. Second, the pipeline welding technology is leading in China. This project marked the first time that new domestic technologies and processes were employed in the construction of urban gas pipelines in Qingdao. For the butt welds of the gas pipelines, the leading domestic welding method of \"Kemper X450 for root welding + Kumagai A305 for overlay welding\" was used. \"Fully automatic welding equipment\" was utilized for the first time, and welding wires with \"carbon dioxide solid gas shielding + mixed gas cored gas shielding\" were selected. The low-temperature impact value of the welds exceeded 120 J, while the tensile strength reached 630 MPa, resulting in significantly improved mechanical properties of the welds. Third, its pipeline anti-corrosion patching methods are leading in China. For the anti-corrosion repair of pipe joints, an energy-saving and environmentally friendly construction method involving \"mechanical heat-shrinkable tape repair\" is used, along with \"fully automatic closed sandblasting equipment\" for rust removal. The rust removal level on the surface of the steel pipes reaches 100% Sa2.5 standard, the thickness of the primer applied is ≥200μm, and the strength value obtained from peel tests is above 120 N/cm, which is significantly higher than the standard required strength. Fourth, its measurement technology is leading nationwide. By using the Phantom 4 RTK drone for aerial data collection and subsequent indoor processing, centimeter-level two-dimensional and three-dimensional images of the construction routes were obtained. Through the development of additional functions such as feature point identification, system integration, optimization of access speeds, loading of 3D models, and annotation and measurement, a range of comprehensive application functions were implemented, including the visualization of routes during the project construction process and the simultaneous measurement of coordinate points.
