Ten years of rapid development in chemical engineering equipment – praise for China’s prosperity and strength. This is just a starting point; more participation will make things even more lively. HaiChuan becomes even better with your involvement; we welcome everyone to join in the forum discussions. Everyone should focus on safety and know how to handle emergencies. ********************************************* On May 31st, the 23rd China International Petroleum, Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE 2023) was held in Beijing. Qiteng Robotics Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Qiteng Robotics”) introduced two new products: a high-performance version of its explosion-proof wheeled inspection robot for use in chemical industries, and an explosion-proof quadrupedal robot, aimed at enhancing production safety in sectors such as petroleum and chemicals. For a long time, the petroleum and chemical industry has been plagued by issues such as a large number of potential safety hazards and difficulties in identifying them, problems that have persisted as challenges for many petrochemical companies. Qiteng Robotics’ two new inspection robots can replace workers who are involved in high-risk tasks, carrying out round-the-clock inspections in various environments that are flammable, explosive, toxic, harmful, or characterized by high temperatures and pressures. The explosion-proof chemical wheeled inspection robot is Qiteng Robots’ flagship product. According to Hu Jiang, head of the Engineering and Technology Department at Qiteng Robotics Co., Ltd., the high-performance version of this explosion-proof wheeled inspection robot for chemical industries represents a comprehensive improvement in functions and algorithms, built upon the existing product. The explosion-proof chemical four-legged robot was the star product at the exhibition, attracting the attention of many participating companies and guests. Hu Xiaodong, head of the R&D department at Qiteng Robotics Co., Ltd., said that this product represents a breakthrough in domestic technology related to explosion-proof quadrupedal robots. It has a high degree of adaptability to unknown and unstructured environments, enabling it to move across complex surfaces such as stairs, steps, gaps, obstacles, and tight spaces. It can carry out autonomous inspections, replacing human workers in the performance of inspection tasks in various complex scenarios within chemical plants. “The technology for explosion-proof chemical four-legged robots is a domestic innovation that fills the gap in such technologies in China. ”Zhang Jian, vice president of Qiteng Robotics Co., Ltd., said that the explosion-proof chemical four-legged robots will transform the landscape of intelligent robot inspections in the petrochemical industry, driving the transition from existing inspection methods that rely on wheeled, track-mounted, or crawler-based robots to a model that enables thorough and unmanned inspections, thus ushering in an era of comprehensive and multi-dimensional inspection.
