On August 4, 2023, in the assembly workshop of “Xingyi Space”, a horizontal single-cylinder diaphragm compressor was being shipped to Xinjiang via logistics. This unit represents the first commercial application of the GDE/GDF series of high-thrust diaphragm compressors for filling, which were independently developed by Xingyi Space. The project timeline is very short; there is only one month from the signing of the contract to the delivery of the goods. With limited time and a heavy workload, faced with such significant challenges, the project team at Xingyi Space – comprising specialists in design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, procurement, and other areas – stepped up to the task. By leveraging their professional expertise and teamwork spirit, they made every effort to ensure that the project was delivered on time. The GDE/GDF series diaphragm compressors are filling compressors independently developed by Xingyi Space. These compressors have an inlet pressure of 1.2MPa to 1.8MPa, an outlet pressure of 22MPa/32MPa, and a flow rate of 1000 Nm3/h. They are designed primarily for filling 20MPa long-tube trailers that are currently in use in China, as well as 30MPa long-tube trailers that have only become available recently. Their advantages include high thrust (18t/25t), low floor space requirement, low vibration and noise levels, stable overall performance, ease of transportation, and cost competitiveness compared to similar domestic products.
The model delivered this time features a P-type horizontal layout, a single-cylinder design with primary compression, water cooling as the cooling method, and is driven directly by a three-phase asynchronous motor with an explosion-proof rating of DIICT4, connected via a rigid coupling. The compact integrated chassis design allows all pipelines, cooling systems, lubrication systems, instruments, and control components to be installed on a single skid-mounted chassis, facilitating transportation, installation, commissioning, and maintenance for users and saving them time and effort. This model has an intake pressure of 1.4–1.6 MPa, an exhaust pressure of 2.5 MPa, and a flow rate of 1200 Nm3/h; the noise level during operation is 71–72 dB, while the actual measured flow rate is 1350 Nm3/h. Compared to traditional compressors, this compressor features better heat dissipation, superior sealing performance, lower energy consumption and noise levels, a smaller footprint, easier transportation, and higher reliability.
