On November 11, Guizhou Phosphorus Chemical Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for a project to produce 30,000 tons per year of high-purity anhydrous hydrogen fluoride. By optimizing the utilization of the fluorine resources associated with phosphate rock, this project will effectively promote the development of the new fluorosilicon materials industry. Guizhou Phosphorus Chemicals stated that the full commencement of the project will further enhance the group’s market competitiveness in the field of fluorosilicon new materials, enable it to seize market opportunities and increase its market share, thereby promoting the clustered, innovative, and sustainable development of Guizhou’s fluorine chemical industry. It is reported that as anhydrous hydrogen fluoride finds increasing use in fields such as the organic fluorine industry, inorganic fluorides, semiconductors, petroleum catalysis, new energy sources, and high-energy battery materials, the demand for anhydrous hydrogen fluoride is growing steadily. At the same time, with the slow recovery of the global economy and the technological innovations brought about by advances in technology, demand for hydrogen fluoride is gradually showing an upward trend. As the world’s largest producer and consumer of hydrogen fluoride, China is likely to see a similar pattern in terms of production and demand for anhydrous hydrogen fluoride in the future. The project under construction, with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons of high-purity anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, represents the second production facility for anhydrous hydrogen fluoride owned by Guizhou Phosphorus Chemical Group’s Fluorosilicon New Materials Company. It builds upon the existing technology for producing anhydrous hydrogen fluoride developed by Guizhou Phosphorus Chemical Group, and incorporates further improvements to that technology. This project not only aligns with the policy goals of \"developing a circular economy, reusing resources, and turning waste into valuable materials,\" but it also plays a crucial role in Guizhou Phosphorus Chemical Group’s efforts to transform and upgrade itself in order to achieve sustainable development.
